Ilenia Viola is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Calabria. Her PhD dissertation focused on the carceral imaginary in the writings of Benvenuto Cellini, an author to whom she has devoted numerous essays in peer-reviewed journals and edited volumes.
