Andrea Severi is Associate Professor of Italian Literature at the University of Bologna. He works in the field of humanistic and Renaissance literature. His publications include the critical edition of Battista Spagnoli Mantovano’s eclogues, Adolescentia (2010), a monograph on the European reception of Filippo Beroaldo’s works (2015), and, co-edited with W. Scott Blanchard, Renaissance Encyclopaedism: Studies in Curiosity and Ambition (2018). He is co-director of the journal Ecdotica (Carocci) and of the Sempervirens series published by LYSA.
