Sergio Brillante

Sergio Brillante is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Bari. His research focuses primarily on ancient geography, textual criticism in Antiquity, and the reception of classical culture. Within the field of Neo-Latin studies, he has worked on Alessandro Manzoni and on the relationship between the public use of Latin and politics in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. He is the author of Il Periplo di Pseudo-Scilace. L’oggettività del potere (2020) and “Anche là è Roma”. Antico e antichisti nel colonialismo italiano (2023).
