Elisa Tosi Brandi is Associate Professor of Medieval History at the University of Bologna. Her research interests include the history of culture, economy, and society from the thirteenth to the sixteenth century, with particular attention to the use of objects and material culture as sources for historical inquiry. Among her recent publications are the monograph Sigismondo Pandolfo Malatesta.
