Elisa Tosi Brandi

Elisa Tosi Brandi is Associate Professor of Medieval History at the University of Bologna. Her research interests include the history of culture, economy, and society from the thirteenth to the sixteenth century, with particular attention to the use of objects and material culture as sources for historical inquiry. Among her recent publications are the monograph Sigismondo Pandolfo Malatesta. Oggetti, relazioni e consumi alla corte di un signore del tardo Medioevo (2020), and the article “Clothing the Female Life. Self-Fashioning and Memory Making at the Malatesta Network of Women Between the Fourteenth and the Fifteenth Centuries”, Renaissance Studies 39.2 (2025).
