Noreen Humble is Professor of Classics at the University of Calgary and the current Associate Director of the Calgary Institute for the Humanities. Her research centres around Xenophon and Plutarch and their later reception. She is the editor of Plutarch’s Lives. Parallelism and Purpose (Swansea 2010), co-editor (with Pat Crowley & Silvia Ross) of Mediterranean Travels. Writing Self and Other from the Ancient World to the Contemporary Society (Oxford 2011) and author of Xenophon of Athens. A Socratic on Sparta (Cambridge 2021).
