Fabio Forner

Fabio Forner studied at the Università Cattolica in Milan and at the University of Messina. After teaching and conducting research in Germany, the United States and England, he was appointed associate professor of Italian literature at the University of Verona. His research mainly deals with epistolography, with a particular focus on Enea Silvio Piccolomini’s Epistulae in cardinalatu and on 18th-century epistolary precepts. He has also published several studies on Francesco Petrarca and on the reception of his oeuvre north of the Alps.
