Anna G. Chisena is a postdoctoral researcher and adjunct professor at the University of Bologna. From 2018 to 2021, she held a postdoctoral position at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Neo-Latin Studies in Innsbruck, where she developed a digital edition of Basinio da Parma’s Hesperis. She has held fellowships at the Warburg Institute (2016) and the Herzog August Bibliothek (2018). She is the author of Basinio’s Astronomicon libri (Florence 2024) and the monograph Le prime stelle di Dante (Ravenna 2024), which received the Pastore Stocchi Prize (2023-24). In 2025, she was awarded the Pier delle Vigne Prize for excellence in Medieval Studies. Her research focuses on Dante, humanistic literature, Neo-Latin poetry, and vernacular scientific texts.
