Ovanes Akopyan

Ovanes Akopyan is a research fellow at the University of Innsbruck. His scholarly interests are in Renaissance and early modern intellectual history, cosmology and history of science. Akopyan’s publications include Debating the Stars in the Italian Renaissance: Giovanni Pico della Mirandola’s Disputationes adversus astrologiam divinatricem and Its Reception (Leiden 2021) and two edited volumes, a special issue of Intellectual History Review on the late Renaissance philosopher and polymath Francesco Patrizi (2019) and a collection of essays on early modern perceptions of fate and fortune (Leiden 2021).
